Christina Kehl, initiator of the Swiss Fintech Fair and managing director of Swiss Finance Startups is more than happy: “Our event keeps growing and further developing every year. In 2015 we launched the what was called Swiss Fintech Day at the time as a mainly politics focused event. Meanwhile the Swiss Fintech Fair has become the biggest fintech industry event in Switzerland. Just a few years ago it took quite some effort to put fintech on the political & public agenda. Today fintech is indispensable for the Swiss financial center.”
The Swiss Fintech Fair is hosted and organized by the non-profit organization Swiss Finance Startups (SFS, www.swissfinancestartups.ch). SFS is a strong advocate for a vibrant fintech and startup friendly ecosystem in Switzerland. The Swiss Fintech Fair as well as Swiss Finance Startups are not profit oriented and all proceeds go directly to the startup mission of the association.
Only with the support of sponsors and partners it is possible to keep prices especially low for startup exhibitors and attendees. This is important to even give young startups access and a platform. Main partner is in 2019 again UBS Switzerland. UBS Switzerland supports Swiss Finance Startups several years now and is strongly committed to support entrepreneurship and startups on the Swiss financial center.
